camera still being stupid

I just can't get my webcam to work this week! I don't know what's up with it, but I have a few hats to take pictures of and post. I will keep trying. And I am looking forward to this coming weekend to try and sell some of these hats! I still keep going back and forth about if this is going to work, but I am optimistic. I have some books in mind I want to buy with instructions on new cute projects. Like socks, and hooded scarves, head wraps, flowers, etc. More to come!

Learned Something New

I was just playing around with my looms and I have just learned to how to make a hat with earflaps, ties and tassles. I want to post a picture, but my webcam is being stupid and won't turn on. I will keep trying and get a picture up as soon as I can! I am excited, I have some new ideas to try, square tops with tassles, and  headwraps to start. See what I mean? Its evening and I am working on hats, and I am getting excited and encouraged about doing this, but earlier today I was so discouraged when I was looking at other sites like this. But I can only do what I can do, so I am off to make another hat and I will post more tomorrow!

unsure but hopeful

Every night for the past few weeks I lay in bed and think about really putting time and effort into this business. I have lots of great ideas, lots of things I want to make, new styles to try, etc. I feel excited about it. Then the morning comes and for some reason I get all these discouraging thoughts about this. I feel bad that all I have to post are pictures of black and yellow hats. I need to get some more inventory to post pictures of, so please stay with me here. I think I may have got to web marketing too soon, but I know in about a month or less I will really have something to show. My goal is to make one or more hats per day. On a good day I can usually get 1 and a half done, so if I just push myself a little longer...Anyway. Thanks for reading!

Thoughts

So yesterday when I created this blog, I wasn't so sure of what I was doing. I did a lot of thinking on this business last night. I will be editing and making changes to the pages for ordering and pricing in a minute.
For a long long time, I have been struggling with staying at home with the kids and also wanting to contribute to the family finances. I am not in a position where I can have a job outside the home. I have been searching and searching for something that would work for our family. The other night at a party, I was wearing one of my hats, and I got alot of compliments on it. It got me thinking about how I make these hats, I like to make them, they look pretty good, maybe...maybe...should I?
So here it is. I created Knitted By Tracy Winter Wear and I am going to try and make a go of it. I plan on posting a picture of every hat I make so people can see the options.
