Lots!

Where to start, um lets see. Saturday November 5 I am doing a craft fair booth in Layton, I have been making tons of hats so I have lots to sell. Then the week after I will be doing a boutique in Sandy on friday and saturday. After that I will be changing my business name, listing all inventory on etsy, possibly deleting this blog and relying on my facebook page to replace it. I will be in the next eight weeks or so very busy with school, finals will be coming and after that an internship. For now here are some new hats I have been making. As of today they are for sale. Also still taking custom orders. Thanks to all my awesome friends who keep supporting me in the business.

thinking of changing business name

I am really considering changing my business name, investing in a real website, new business cards, etc. I want to get a hat stand, a table a canopy, etc and hit all the boutiques I can. I want to finish up the fall by going to farmers markets (look for me at the last Kaysville City farmers market next thursday!). I want to put more into this, but I have hardly sold any as it is. I am torn about just going with what I got or making it bigger and better. I do know that I love the knitting, it totally makes me happy and when I don't get to knit in the evenings, I get pretty grumpy. So just some thoughts.
Oh and I am not selling on etsy anymore, that site is just too saturated with this kind of stuff. I think my hats are kind of  a "need to see" kind of purchase.

New Item Offered

My friend Rachel asked me if I could make a "baby bag". I didn't know what that was, so she sent me a picture. There was an infant, in the baby bag and cap, in a picnic basket, and it was so cute! I worked one up, and although it takes about 9 hours to create, I can make these and will now offer them in my product line. My friend Tiffani was kind enough to let me take photos of my product with her newborn in it so I can show my customers what this looks like. Then Jake and I were just playing around, and we put Jerry the cat in it, and oddly enough, he stayed in it and I think may have enjoyed it! :) I think this should be a photo prop only, but as it is a warm bag, maybe it could be used in the winter for a blanket for a baby who kicks the blankets off all the time. I don't know. The customer would have to use best judgement. I am also trying to work up a baby blanket, like a nursing size blanket. I haven't got one done yet.

Facebook anyone?

I just created an awesome page for my business on Facebook. You can find me at
Knitted By Tracy Winter Wear. Please click "like" and then check out the deal. If you suggest my page to 5 of your very best friends, you can get a code for $1 off your next purchase!

Fall is almost here!

So I told myself, and others, that I would knit all summer, boost my inventory for this fall/winter season, and learn new patterns and techniques. Well as you can imagine I didn't knit one single hat this summer. I recieved an order from a friend the other week, however, and I have been a knitting fool since then. Here is what I have done.

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FRUSTRATION, I can't figure out how to turn the image the right side up, but you get the idea.
I will be posting more as the days get colder!
